Having worked with a diverse population of children aged 0-21, my approach to therapy is to meet the individual needs of each child with an eclectic approach. I assess the child’s strengths and weaknesses and consider the home environment as well as the parents’ goals, participation, and immediate concerns. I try to determine the source of a delay and help to increase a parent’s understanding for improved implementation of skills and increased independence.
My personal interests include appreciation of arts entertainment as well as writing prose and poetry, reading, decorating, cooking, dancing, yoga, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. When traveling, I enjoy eco-tourism, experiencing new cultures, and taking in the beauty of the world through food, music, and photography.
“It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings.”
